Erinn is a Brooklyn based painter and sculptor. She received a BFA from University of Michigan, an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, and has exhibited in NYC, Iceland, and Finland. Her background as a scenic and designer for film and tv informs her studio work.
Using her sculptures as the subjects for paintings, her current series focuses on semi-abstracted objects with corporal and landscape references.
Studying how light is captured and diffused by different substances, she uses ephemeral materials such as wax and water to convey ideas of internal translucency and opacity.
